Meet the coach
11U Coach · ProspectStars Baseball
Born January 4, 2000, in Detroit, Michigan, Johnny (son of Johnny and Latisha) is an outgoing athlete who chose Vanderbilt for its great academics and athletics. He rooms with Justyn-Henry Malloy and says that if he weren't playing baseball, he would be a psychologist. For a movie about his life, he wants Denzel Washington to play him.
His top favorites include Matt Kemp, the Dodgers, LeBron James, The Office, Kicking and Screaming, Jim Carrey, chicken alfredo, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, and Punta Cana. His most memorable athletic moment was scoring 35 points in a basketball game, and his absolute favorite late-night snack to enjoy is just a simple glass of orange juice.

Clear Information for Our ProspectStars Families
Monthly dues are $190 and are due on the 1st of each month.
Tournament fees are charged separately per player.
Families may choose to pay tournament fees at the same time as their monthly dues so they do not have to make separate payments every two weeks.
This option is voluntary. Families may either pay tournament fees with their monthly dues or continue paying them every two weeks.
An additional $22 per month will be collected as a playoff reserve fee.
This fund helps cover playoff games if the team advances to the semifinals and championship game.
If the team does not reach the playoffs in a tournament, the money will remain in the reserve and be applied to future playoff games.
If the accumulated playoff reserve is not used by the end of the season, it will be refunded to each family.
This system is designed to avoid requesting extra playoff money at each tournament.
Hotel stays and other travel expenses for parents are optional and the responsibility of each family.
We aim to select tournaments as close to home as possible to help minimize travel costs.
No. The $190 monthly fees do not include tournament entry fees. Monthly dues cover the player’s participation in the ProspectStars Academy program, including scheduled team practices, coaching, player development, and normal team operating expenses. Tournament entry fees are collected separately and are divided among the players participating in each tournament.
Unless specifically included in the tournament registration fee, gate or admission fees are the responsibility of each family and are paid directly at the tournament or venue. ProspectStars Academy is not responsible for spectator admission, parking, or other venue-related fees.
Yes. Tournament expenses are separate from the $190 monthly dues.
Tournament fees may be collected individually for each event or, when appropriate, ProspectStars Academy may collect tournament fees in advance for multiple scheduled tournaments.
Families will be informed of tournament costs and payment deadlines before the events.
Yes. Monthly dues continue for every month that the player remains on the active team roster, including December, unless ProspectStars Academy specifically announces a scheduled month without dues.
Holiday breaks, tournament schedules, or a reduced number of practices during a particular week do not automatically pause monthly dues. Monthly dues reserve the player’s roster position and support the ongoing operation of the team and development program.
Monthly dues, tournament fees, uniform fees, registration fees, and other payments that have already been collected are generally non-refundable once they have been committed or used for team expenses.
If a player chooses to leave the organization, the family will not be responsible for future monthly dues after the player’s withdrawal has been properly communicated to ProspectStars Academy.
Tournament fees already committed to an event are non-refundable, even if the player leaves the team before that tournament.
If a family informs ProspectStars Academy before the tournament roster and tournament cost have been finalized, the player may be excluded from that tournament’s fee calculation.
However, once the tournament has been confirmed, the roster has been submitted, or the family’s portion of the tournament cost has been established, the tournament fee remains the family’s responsibility even if the player later becomes unable to attend.
This policy is necessary because tournament registration fees are paid by the team and are generally non-refundable.
A guest player is a player who is temporarily added to the roster for a specific tournament or event but is not a regular full-time member of that ProspectStars team.
Guest players may be used when the team needs additional players because of injuries, scheduling conflicts, roster shortages, positional needs, or other competitive reasons.
Guest players who participate in a tournament are expected to contribute their appropriate share of the tournament entry fee.
Regular ProspectStars families will not be charged extra simply because the team needs to add a guest player.
If tournament fees were collected in advance based on a specific number of players and additional guest players later contribute towards those tournament expenses, the additional money collected will be credited back proportionally to the participating regular players.
Whenever possible, the credit will be applied towards a future ProspectStars tournament fee or team expense rather than issuing multiple small refunds.
If it is the final tournament of the season or the player will no longer participate with the team, ProspectStars Academy may issue the appropriate remaining balance directly to the family.
Our goal is to keep tournament expenses fair and transparent for every family. ProspectStars Academy will not use guest players as a way to collect more than the actual tournament costs.
